Huis Van Lorreinen

Huis Van Lorreinen is a striking urban project in Mechelen, Belgium, designed by DMVA Architect and revitalising a historic corner site at the Grote Markt. The building includes a Vitrocsa TH+ motorised guillotine window system composed of five glazed panes, with two independent sliding panes operating on a double invisible lateral counterweight system. This advanced glazing solution ensures smooth vertical movement while maintaining minimal visible structure and expansive daylight. The refined system supports high performance and precision in a context where integration with the existing urban fabric and quality of living were key considerations.
